So, I’m going to be honest with you all…I had no idea that Happy Death Day 2U was a sequel! I thought the movie looked interesting so I went in with an open mind and no previous history. Lucky for me, the first movie was reviewed quickly at the beginning of the sequel so I was up to speed within the first 12-20 minutes.
My first thought was this was a deadlier version of Groundhog Day but it had more modern day twists. I actually found the movie quite funny at many parts as well being filled with “truths” of life. It is an interesting idea to have to choose between two important people in your life and you only have one chance to make it in the end. I personally loved the science aspect of the movie and all the formulas that were tossed around. Even if you have seen the first Happy Death Day, this is a new version with some similar elements and still worth seeing.
