We were introduced to the fun world of VTech Flipsie’s when we were sent Sandy and her ocean cruiser to review. After playing with Sandy for a while, we knew that we needed to add to our Flipsie’s family, and expand their world and let them play together. The dolls can interact and have conversations. So when VTech asked if we wanted to check out Grace’s Garden Carriage we were excited to add another Flipsie’s doll to our collection.
While Sandy’s play set is all about what she wants to do with her future mixed in with fun play time. This is a little different with Grace’s Garden Carriage set, which is primarily about fantasy. You see, Grace dreams of being a princess (don’t we all), and having fantastic clothes, her own horse drawn carriage and a flower garden where she can sit and write poetry.
The play set comes with Grace, her carriage that changes into her garden, the horse, and 13 accessories for her to play with. Her accessories include wigs, a change in dress, an umbrella, a tea set and more. But the real fun is in the carriage with the two MagicPoints. Simply stand, or sit Grace on the points and her necklace will light up and Grace will say key phrases to go with the set.
Inside the carriage there is one of the MagicPoints in the chair in front of Grace’s poetry book. She can sit and read her poetry for a while or take a stroll in her own personal garden. One of our favorite things about the Flipsie’s sets is the larger play set pieces are actually a two for one toy. It’s not just a carriage, but will turn into another place for your dolls to have fun and play in.
The carriage in this set actually unfolds into a long walking garden with one door and even the seat folding down to create stairways into the garden. At the far end there is another MagicPoint where Grace can enjoy her flowers that light up for her to interact with. Now add in your other Flipsie’s Friends and your dolls will have a great time chatting over tea or even in the garden. Grace is full of dreams and ones that most little girls can relate to, and in this fun play set VTech has hit that on the head.
There are some smaller parts, and some stickers that need added to complete the set so it may be harder to set up for little hands. Once the stickers are on, your little girl will love playing with Grace and all of her VTech Flipsies Friends.
