We’ve always had a dream to live off the grid, but the reality of this technology driven and obsessed world make it hard. And while we do our small part in the middle of the suburbs, it’s nothing like what some families do. In the few years we’ve seen a rise in more alternative lifestyles and home schooling – this off grid lifestyle and homeschooling movement gives people and families some power and say in their home and family.
This summer Bleecker Street is releasing a film focusing on the off grid family, and paying homage to the home schooling movement. Captain Fantastic brings the story of a family who have lived outside of normal society for over a decade and their reintroduction into normal society. The film has gotten positive reviews at the Sundance film festival and Festival de Cannes. Captain Fantastic will hit theaters in New York and LA on July 8th, but will be available nationwide throughout July. Check out more about the film below!
