If you’ve been reading for a while, you know I love the holiday season. And we’re super excited to kick it off with Peanuts this year. We were sent a huge box of Peanuts holiday goodies for Halloween and Thanksgiving from Oriental Trading Company. Inside, we’ve got everything we need to host parties and create some pretty sweet bags for our favorite trick-or treaters!
Would you just look at this box of goodies?! It took me a while to sort through everything and figure out what all was in here. I don’t think Oriental Trading missed a single Peanuts item, and we had hours of fun playing what’s in the box.
First let’s start with Halloween goodies – the selection is huge! There are plates and napkins for your own Peanuts Halloween party, plastic drink cups, heavy duty finger puppets, crayon sets, metal buckets with the characters and my favorite – scratch off characters! The items are great to throw your own party or even to use a lot as non-candy trick-or-treat options.
There’s a lot of great Peanuts crafts as well – you can make your own “Welcome Fall” sign, a Trick-or-Treat sign, and magnet frame crafts. We haven’t broke into those yet – but will be soon. I’m trying to keep the glitter contained as long as possible. But each set comes with 12 inside and are easy to make without sharp objects or hot glue guns. Kid friendly crafts are just the best!
Next up is Thanksgiving, and while there’s not as many activities (except the be Thankful Frame Craft) there’s plenty of great Peanuts plates and napkins for the holiday. Yes, I know the Great Pumpkin plates should be for Halloween – but they could work for Thanksgiving too! The plates add a little extra to your holiday and to remind you and your guests what you are thankful for!
