mean green degreaser reviewAs summer comes to a close we’re celebrating this year. In our area, this summer has been one of the hottest on record and the cooler weather is appreciated. We can finally regain control of our yards, our patios and get outside and enjoy it. But this harsh summer has been rough on our patio sets, grills and more – and with fall tailgating, parties and grilling out – it’s time to clean them up.

mean green degreaser reviewIn the house, we’ve been using Mean Green cleaners to keep the kitchen clean and germ free and fighting bigger messes in the bathroom too. Since we’re Mean Green ambassadors, they sent us their line of products. And honestly, the Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser probably gets used a lot more than the other they sent. It’s got a lot of punch inside that cleaner – and just spraying it in the shower it handles a lot of the work without me having to scrub. But what do you do when you have a full patio filled with different materials to clean? You want it to be ready for your guests and to still look inviting right – but more importantly, you want it clean!

mean green degreaser reviewThe Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser boasts the ability to take stains and dirt out of anything from fabric to concrete – surely it could handle some patio furniture and a grill right? The first place I started cleaning was the patio chairs that I painted earlier this year. They’ve been out in all types of weather this year from rain, a bit of sleet and a lot of dirt and dead bugs. The vibrant colors I painted them have gotten a little murky, and the seat and arms collect water and dirt.

mean green degreaser reviewTo clean the chairs I just made sure I sprayed on the cleaner and let it sit for a minute. The Cleaner and Degreaser worked almost immediately and started wipe away the muck. After a few passes the seat was clean and ready for our guests who will be coming over soon. While I’ll probably do this a few more times this fall since the chairs live outside in this weather, they will all get another good cleaning treatment before being put away for the season.

mean green degreaser reviewThe second place that needed cleaned was the table – a place to sit is important, but a place to eat dinner or to hold the food is more important. Since our patio table is glass you can see any and all dirt, as well as some bird deposits on the trim as well as on the glass. This obviously doesn’t make for a very appetizing meal setting does it?

mean green degreaser reviewThe Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser sprayed on the table not only cleaned the glass to a high shine but also the metal rim as well. Each time I cleaned another item on the patio, I was shocked to see just how much dirt and much was coming off on the towels. It wasn’t that long ago that the whole area was cleaned before a party – how could anything get this dirty this fast?

mean green degreaser reviewBut the real test of the Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser was the old grill that came embedded in the patio. More a plant holder than anything else – this grill shows it’s dirt and almost wears it proudly. But we do use it for parties to hold items, food, and drinks. Really, I didn’t think there was anything that could save it or make it look better, but after a quick spray down and wipe – it looked a few years newer. The surface started not look as scary for using as a serving surface.

I haven’t found anything that the Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser hasn’t been able to tackle. And as we get ready to have tailgating parties and enjoy the crisp cool fall weather, we’ll be relying on it more and more to keep our patio clean for us and guests.
