Between my daily multivitamin and other medications, sometimes it’s just a pain to add another pill to the mix. Not everyone is made for taking pills, and thankfully a lot of different vitamins are available now in drink mixes and even single serve packets. I was asked to try out Premama Products, and was actually shocked that they only come in drink mixes (not that I mind).

Premama ReviewPremama makes products for women who are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant or even moms who have already had their babies. They offer: Premama Fertility, Premama Essentials, Premama Essentials + DHA, Premama Lactation and Premama Digestive Aid. Currently Premama isn’t available at every store, but lucky for me certain Meijer stores have Premama in their vitamin section. In our Meijer store, I initially had looked for Premama with the daily vitamins where I expected daily multi-vitamins would be. Instead it was in the natural vitamins section.

Premama ReviewAll of the Premama products (with the exception of their prenatal fiber & probiotic chew) are gluten free, vegan or vegetarian and non-GMO.  The products start at $12.99 and are all under $20, and for the drink mixes all you have to do is add water. I chose to try the Prenatal Vitamins + DHA, they’re a complete multivitamin with everything you’d expect and need in a prenatal vitamin and it comes in a orange flavor. The Essentials + DHA is gluten free, and extremely easy to use.

Premama ReviewMaking any powdered drink mix can be a little scary the first time since you’re not sure about the flavor, but the Premama Essentials +DHA actually tastes like a creamsicle. The only thing I noticed was the drink did separate a little (maybe I didn’t shake it enough?) So, I just made sure to shake it up a little before each drink. The sweet orange flavor was refreshing and it didn’t feel like something I was forcing myself to drink. And the single serve drink packets are easy to carry in my bag on the go.
