flipkabob review

Nothing reminds me more of summer than something on the grill. It saves me from heating up the house, you get delicious flavors you get from cooking over the open flame. We do everything from chicken, burgers and vegetables and of course kabobs. Toss together some of your favorite meats with vegetables and you get layers of flavor to add to your dinner plate. Another highly recommended grill would be the one from Camp Chef, You can read up more about the Camp Chef Woodwind Pellet Grill review here.

flipkabob reviewMaking your own kabobs are as easy as combining your favorite meat and vegetables and grilling them. But it’s the actual grilling that can be the problem. How do you grab those hot skewers to rotate your meat? Thankfully RSVP International created the Flipkabob, and sent us one to make our grilling easier this summer.

flipkabob reviewThe Flipkabob is an offset tong set that has grooves made perfectly for grabbing your skewers. While it does work with wooden or skewers you already have, the Flipkabob actually comes with 6 stainless steel skewers (that are dishwasher safe) so you can get grilling right away! At the base of the handle is a sliding lock so you can set your Flipkabob to one size and leave it there while you work.

While that sounds easy enough, it took me a few times to get the grabbing right and to use the Flipkabob properly. Remember the tongs should always stay outside of the food (or you may lose some in the grill!) A couple times I did notice the skewers got stuck inside the grove of the Flipkabob and it took a little wiggling to get it unstuck. But after I got use to using the Flipkabob, it made it easy to rotate the kabobs without worrying about dropping them.

RSVP International is giving one of my readers their own Flipkabob so you can grill your favorite items on a skewer this summer. Read how you can win one below!

  1. We make chicken spiedie kabobs. It is chunks of chicken marinated in a special sauce and eaten on a slice of Italian bread. It actually started in upstate NY where I live.
