Yes, you did read that right! It’s Oven safe! Silicone is a FDA approved material made of sand and stones that can withstand hot and cold temperatures, and not leach any chemicals into the food inside of it, or change the taste of the food products. FridgeX can be used in the oven up to 430 degrees Fahrenheit. Yes, you can bake a loaf of bread in it if you want!
Since the FridgeX system is made from silicone, you can also put it directly from the oven into the freezer without any worry that it will break or get ruined. Most items baked in the FridgeX containers will come out with a smooth or shiny appearance on the sides just like silicone molds create. If you choose to bake in the set be sure to place it on a cookie sheet!
As you can see my favorite thing to use the larger 40 oz and the 64 oz containers for is homemade ice cream. It fits easily in and holds a similar shape as the commercial containers of ice cream, and makes it easy to get out scoops for an evening treat.
The FridgeX 18 piece silicone set does so much more than store and has become my go to set in the kitchen. I love that I can easily bake in it and then put it away in the fridge or freezer. They take up a lot less space than my hard plastic storage containers and do so much more.

Ice cream. I love ice cream
In the past 25 years I have become famous for my chicken crepes. Friends and family are constantly clamouring for me to make them. I always have to combine what goes in the crepe in one bowl/container, once the crepes are stuffed and put together, I would have to transfer them to another container to heat them, another to serve, and then another for any leftovers. With FridgeX, I could do it all. One for mixing, a second for everything else!
I would make a greek salad
The need for a more frugal way of living due to decreasing income coupled with a desire to put our only child through college debt-free, as well as a commitment to eating better means we’d use these for everything from portion control to storing the inevitable leftovers with just the two of us puttering around. No more waste and a little less waist 😉
