Finding Dory Has Found Her Way Home on Blu-Ray and DVD! #findingdorybluray #findingdory

Today Finding Dory swims her way onto Blu-Ray and DVD and is available everywhere. We fell in love with the movie when we saw it, and we all know that Dory captivated our hearts in Finding Nemo. But the Blu-Ray combo pack takes that love beyond just the movie. It’s loaded with bonus features, deleted scenes and commentary, with over two hours of additional content.

We were sent a copy of Finding Dory early as part of the #Findingdorybluray event I attended last month. We had a great time making our own Finding Dory pumpkins, but at the heart of it all is Dory. The movie picks up the story of Dory, Nemo and Marlin after they return from Finding Nemo. Dory has a brief memory of her parents and wants to go on an adventure to find her own family. The story takes them back across the ocean to Morrow Bay California where Dory’s family was when she was lost. Along the way, of course, Dory gets lost again and with the help of a grumpy Octopus named Hank and a friend from her childhood Destiny, she not only tries to find her family.

One of our favorite things to do with Pixar movies is to watch the extras – they’re usually filled with Easter Eggs and tidbits of information about the process of making the film. Finding Dory took years to make, and animators faced new struggles with not only animating the water in the movie, but Hank and his changing colors and blending into the world around him. The bonus features on the Blu-Ray combo pack is loaded with facts about the movie, what went into making it and even a pile of deleted scenes that you wont see in theaters. Probably the most fascinating for me was the amount of research that went into all of the animals and how they created the characters for the movie. It’s a lot of fun to see what went into the characters we love. But don’t forget to look to some nods to the original movie while you watch Finding Dory (is that really a picture of Darla on the back wall?!)

Finding Dory has a total run time of approximately 97 minutes, but the Blu-Ray combo pack has over 2 hours of extra footage. The summer blockbuster hit, Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory,” swims home just in time for the holidays on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) on Oct. 25 and on Blu-ray 3D™, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on Nov. 15.
