Since Reading Rainbow came back on television, younger generations get to enjoy books read by celebrities, and learn about different books. Reading Rainbow was one of the shows that inspired my generations love for reading, and to be honest – we may be more excited about the show being back than most kids are.
On the heels of the show returning to PBS and also being on Netflix, PBS Kids is releasing different collections with classic episodes that children as well as their parents can enjoy. Last month they released a new collection Miss Nelson is Back, and sent us a copy for us to review. The collection covers different books that highlight homes and even cooking. We loved the collection of the books and as always how the collection encourages reading.
Stories in the new collection include:
- Miss Nelson is Back – Celebrity Reader Ruth Buzzi
- Our Big Home – Celebrity Reader Naomi Judd
- How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World – Celebrity Reader Helen Mirren
- Katie Shelley and the Midnight Express – Celebrity Reader Brian Dennehy
Reading Rainbow: Miss Nelson is Back has a total run time of 120 minutes and is rated TV-Y. You can find it on online and in stores near you.
