7 ate 9 game review
Our family get togethers have always included card games. It may be euchre, Uno or even poker, but it has been a tradition for years. I don’t remember how old I was when my cousins taught me to play poker or to deal cards, but with younger kids in the family, we try to keep the games more on the educational side. This year, we’re bringing a fun game that PlayMonster sent us – 7 ate 9.

7 ate 9 game reviewBesides the fun play on the kids joke that made us all laugh when we were kids, the game is a lot of fun to play. 7 ate 9 is a game for up to 4 players and is best for 8 years and older. You are dealt cards and the object of the game is to get rid of your cards first. It seems relatively easy, but the game is a race for time and requires everyone to be paying attention and doing math at the same time.

7 ate 9 game reviewNot only are you trying to match the number on the cards – adding or subtracting the numbers in the corner. But as someone else beats you to it, you have to meet the new number requirement. 7 ate 9 will have your family laughing and racing to see who can not only do the math fast enough, but to get their cards out of their hands.

We had a ton of fun playing 7 ate 9 with our family, but we also love that it helps include math into the game play.  We can see playing this game on the weekend to help math growth and to keep it in our holiday game rotation! It’s a family friendly game and kids can play it while the adults are playing poker.
