When you walk into the Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House you are instantly hit with the feeling of the place. It’s nothing short of a scrapper and collectors dream with walls covered in old signs, artifacts and pieces of art. But the decor isn’t the only thing the restaurant is known for, instead it’s the fresh baked rolls that are made every five minutes and tossed at willing diners.
Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House invited us in for a meal, and to experience the restaurant while we were in town. The restaurant has been in the same location for over twenty years and sits along the Fall Creek which you can see from the dining room. Known for their steaks and catfish, we were also treated to their chicken fried steak and some cobbler as well.
While dining fresh rolls were brought out periodically, carried by Jeremy the baker. Not only does he bring out the piping hot rolls, but he’s got great aim when you request one. Want a roll? Just raise your hand and he will toss one to you. As good as those rolls are at Fall Creek Steak House, don’t hesitate to request a song from Jeremy – it will blow you away! Fall Creek also has Rudy, the resident guitar playing, singing roll tosser so no matter when you’re dining, you’ll be given great entertainment while you eat.
Dining gluten free? Don’t worry! Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House will have you covered. Unfortunately you cannot have the cobbler or the tossed rolls but you will have a hearty meal that will fill you up.
A visit to Fall Creek Steak House may start with the desire for a good meal, and you will get that and much more.
