vision board ideasWe all have hopes and dreams, and sometimes we’re own worst enemy. We’re the main thing keeping us from achieving the goals and growing where we need to and want to. But it’s time to stop that defeated attitude and time to take your future back into your hands. Time to envision where you want to be in the next week, month or year and start laying down the path to get there.

A couple of years ago, I heard friends talking about vision boards. But really, I laughed it off as something “cute”. The whole idea is that you take your hopes, your dreams, your goals and put them on a board together. Traditionally you would do this with paper, cut things out, hand write items and create a visual of where you want your future to go. You can also do this digitally if you are so inclined and create a visual that will lead you in the direction you want to go.

This year has been amazing for me for personal goals, and this month has been as well. As the site continues to grow, so do the dreams and goals I have for it and where we’ll go next. Since the whole purpose of a vision board is to put your goals in your face in a “see it, achieve it” manifestation, I created my own for this year. I filled it with quotes, images of where I want to go and what we want to do as well as positive mantras.I’m more on the digital side and I actually made my board to the dimensions of my computer screen since I’m here daily – how much more “in my face” can I get?

Making your own Vision Board? Include anything you want – there really aren’t any rules! Put images of where you want to go, things that mean something to you, that help you get where you’re going. Add anything and everything you want motivate you to reach your goal. I didn’t like mine too cluttered, but I can add items as I want, and remove others as we go.

What motivates you? How are you envisioning your future?
