Read all of the exciting things Glenlore Trails has planned this year with Aurora: Winter Wizards and how you can win a set of tickets for your family.

About Aurora: Winter Wizards
Tickets are on sale Friday, October 17 for Glenlore Trails’ winter experience, AURORA: Winter Wizards. Glenlore Trails is Michigan’s largest immersive and illuminated walk-thru forest experience, that transforms a one-mile forest trail in Commerce Township. Glenlore Trails is known for creating over the top experiences, with new enhanced themes each year. This winter theme, Winter Wizards, is an all-new immersive adventure that promises to be the most enchanting experience yet. This family friendly event runs from November 21 to December 28, 2025. Guests can journey along the illuminated mile-long wooded path every Thursday through Sunday evening, discovering a glowing whimsical experience under the stars.
During Aurora: Winter Wizards, guests are invited to step into an enchanted forest where every visitor becomes part of the story. As you journey through an illuminated forest, your presence and interactions help the Winter Wizards push back the gloom – a creeping chill that threatens to dim the spirit of the holidays. Magic wands let you reveal hidden moments and awaken extra magic along the path. Each wave of your wand strengthens the Wizard’s power and brings new surprises to life!
“Each year, our goal is to transport guests to a completely new world, one filled with light, sound, and imagination,” stated Scott Schoeneberger, Co-Owner of Glenlore Trails, and Managing Partner at Bluewater Technologies. “With Aurora: Winter Wizards, we’ve pushed the boundaries further than ever before. They implement technology that supports the narrative and theme of each seasonal activation, bringing life to the forest, fully immersive and captivating guests, and providing an unforgettable immersive night walk experience.
Chanel Schoeneberger, Co-Owner of Glenlore Trails and Executive Officer at Bluewater Technologies stated, “What began as a creative experiment has truly grown into a beloved holiday tradition for so many families across Michigan and beyond, and that’s something we are incredibly proud of.” Chanel continued with, “Each year our team pours their heart and imagination into crafting new themes and experiences that bring people together and create lasting memories. Aurora: Winter Wizards is our most magical story yet, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Glenlore Trails’ one-mile forest trail comes to life with a dazzling display of lights, sounds, and wonder, and takes approximately one hour to complete. The trail is set along a wooded, manicured (not paved) trail. It can accommodate strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs with larger wheels, though visitors should we aware that the surface may be more challenging for smaller wheels. The event runs every Thursday to Sunday at dusk beginning on November 21, and will take place rain, shine, or snow offering a fresh experience no matter what the weather. Glenlore Trails Aurora: Winter Wizards makes for an unforgettable experience for all ages, and is a great family outing, a fun-filled hangout with friends, or a magical date night. Glenlore’s gathering areas offer merchandise, seating, food trucks, and seasonal treats to be enjoyed before or after your walk experience.

Thanksgiving is my favorite because all the family is together for dinner
The day after Thanksgiving we go down in the basement and bring up all of the Christmas stuff we eat hot dogs and popcorn and we watch Nester the Long Ear Donkey which is from my childhood, we laugh and cry and be thankful for another year, after the tree is up we drink cider
Celebrating being thankful is what thanksgiving day is☺️
Thanksgiving evening .. after dinner .. after the clean up .. when the night is winding down, my Sister and I (and my Mom back when she was here) .. give each other the first gifts of Christmas! Just something to kick off the Season! We love to do it!
Every year my older nieces come and we do a special day with my daughters (they are elementary aged) and we do a different Christmas themed event. We usually eat dinner in an igloo which everyone enjoys!
Christmas Eve is my favorite time of the year. My grandmother use to have the whole family over for a 3 day celebration. Those memories mean the most to me. Family, fun and plenty of food!
Thanksgiving day and evening is my favorite! We have Thanksgiving dinner after watching the Lions game and the whole family is together! Absolutely the best!
My favorite family holiday tradition is to gather with my family and look at beautiful Christmas lights 🥰 and decorating our Christmas tree🎄 is one of my favorites
My favorite tradition is getting all the kids together to look at lights and decorating gingerbread houses once home.
