Right now, more than ever, our world needs a little bit of good. We can’t turn on the television, scroll through our feeds online or turn on the radio without hearing bad things happening in our area and around the world. But one small good deed can change not only someone’s day, but can help bring a little more light in the world. I was recently introduced to 1GD (or 100 Good Deeds) a campaign that not only helps empower women, but helps celebrate the good in the world. They sent me one of their beautiful bracelets for myself, one to give to someone I see doing a good deed and one to give to a reader.
100 Good Deed bracelets are made by vulnerable women around the world in locations in Uganda, Zambia, South Africa, Rwanda & Haiti, Bali, India and New York. Your bracelet will come in a package signed by the creator and their location. Each bracelet sold through the organization helps support the women by allowing them to earn money to help support their family.
The idea behind the bracelet is simple, a beaded bracelet with 100 beads to symbolize the good deeds in your life. While you wear it on your wrist, if you do a good deed, you simply move the ring one bead closer to the 1GD button on the end. When you reach the end you’ve completed 100 Good Deeds and can start again. The overall design of the bracelet is simple but elegant, and the meaning is more so for the wearer than everyone else around them.
What is a good deed? It could be as small as helping someone bring their groceries in, bringing someone something they forgot, sending flowers or even a nice email. It doesn’t have to be a huge good deed to make a difference, and in the world we live in, we need more good deeds going around.
Are you ready to make a difference one good deed at a time? You can enter to win your own 1GD bracelet for yourself or to give to someone doing a good deed. Read how you can win below.

I would give this to my daughter. She is getting married soon and this would be neat to go with her wedding dress.
I have a friend from church who is always doing good deeds for the people in the community
What a pretty way to be reminder to be kind to each other.
I would give it to my sister who is helping out people in her town.
I would keep a 100 Good Deeds Bracelet for myself.
