This year is coming to an end, and I can’t say that I’m exactly upset about that. 2016 hasn’t been the easiest in a lot of aspects, and there have been a lot of struggles along the way. There are so many reasons 2016 isn’t going to be looked upon fondly – but I’m going to leave this year behind me and push forward. There is a light at the end of the darkness, there is a lot of change coming and all for good.
While I’m not sure the actual outcome of next year, I do know it will be better than the struggles many of faced this year. I’m going to use my voice for good and try to be the change I want to see in this world. I’ll be attending the Women’s March on Washington next month and plan on sharing my experience here with all of you. I plan on making a difference, and growing this site to be a place that everyone can enjoy and keep to the original goals of keeping it a place that keeps controversial and hate filled topics off of.
With all of the bad in 2016, this isn’t the end of the road. This is our jumping off point. This should motivate to do more. This should help us create change and stand for love and equality. This is the beginning of a new road, a new path and a way for us all to grow. Our journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us all.
Thank you for reading a story from #BehindTheBlogger Hop. Every 2 weeks a group of bloggers is given a writing prompt. These prompts are very open ended, so our bloggers can write about whatever they desire. The main rule is that their blog post directly relates to the topic of that week. The point of this hop is for our readers to get to know us on a personal level. Please hop along and read all of the blog posts in this weeks hop. Just click the links below. If you want real and raw emotion, then you will find it here. After you read each post, please comment and share. We want to get to know you too!

Yeah, 2016 is definitely one for the books and probably not in a good way. I love the positive outlook you have for the coming year. Please update us on the march!
I can’t wait to hear about the Women’s March on Washington. I wish I could go!
I feel ya on 2016 ending and not being completely broken up about it. There were lots of positive things but also a lot of negative, so I’m definitely hoping that a clean slate can help!
Happy new year to you, and looking forward to hearing about the Women’s March!
