When I was younger, I always thought it would be fun to be a mermaid. We can blame this on Disney a little bit, but they are always elegant, beautiful and it looked like so much fun. And while my day dreams of being a mermaid may be long over, that doesn’t mean the next generation of water babies can’t have fun and be a mermaid (or merman in our case!).
Goonie was sent a Clown Fish Tail from Fin Fun Mermaid Tails as well as a mono-fin insert to swim with. The mermaid tail slides over his swim suit and his feet are still accessible through the bottom of his fin. The mono-fin has two holes where he can slide his feet in the more rigid fin and then slide his merman tail over the fin. Not only will this give him more strength in each one of his strokes, but will help him control his new merman tail.
We love the quality of the both the fin and the merman tail – the fabric actually looks like it has scales, but is machine washable and has high quality stitching so it will last through years of use. While the fin is a lot of fun, it is something we only let Goonie use while we’re around for safety reasons.
