What is on the menu for dinner tonight? How about something full of flavor, cheesy and best of all – only takes one pot to make it in? That checks off several requirements in our household – and this Cheesy Italian Sausage Pasta recipe won over the crowd. I’m not huge on sausage, but this dish hit the spot for everyone in the house and made enough for left overs for everyone the next day.
Ingredients:
1 lb of Italian Sausage (ground or removed from casings)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 Onion chopped
- 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 8 oz Tomato Sauce
- 3 cups Chicken Stock
- 16 Oz Gluten Free Pasta
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 4 oz Cream Cheese
Directions
- Heat your olive oil in a 5 quart non-stick pan and add in the onions. Sautee for 3 minutes. Add in your minced garlic and continue to sautee for another minute. Add in your sausage and cook for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
- Add in your seasoning, tomato sauce, chicken stock and pasta into the pan. Heat over medium high heat until it begins to boil. Reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 15 minutes or until your pasta is completely cooked.
- Remove your lid and add in your cheeses, continuing to cook over low heat and stir continuously until all the cheese is melted.
