Today, people are concerned about the type of food they put in their bodies – but don’t really consider what’s in the the products they put on their skin. Tribest offered to send me one of their Dynablend Horsepower Plus Blenders to review if I created a a natural skin care product. They actually sent me a recipe including avocado, and since I’m still on the edge with them I created my own natural skincare mask, with things we already had in the house.
The Tribest Dynablend Horse Power Plus has a 1.1 Horsepower Motor and can go up to 23,000 rpms. It comes with a tempered glass carafe, a stainless steel scoop, extra sealing rings and has a slick stainless steal body. When assembled the Dynablend is a total of 16 inches tall and will easily fit under standard upper cabinets. But the power inside is the key. Besides having a variable speed dial as a control you can do a 60 second blend, a 30 second pulse or a mix between the 60 second blend and pulsing. The power inside the Dynablend means you can make everything smoothies, ice cream, and even soup inside the same blender.
So if you were going to make your own skin care product what would you start with? Why not things in your kitchen that you can eat? I grabbed things I knew that were natural, but also had great properties. Bananas can help reduce inflammation in your skin and reduce puffiness, as well as fight acne. Cinnamon will tingle a little, but can help fight acne and reduces fine lines. And honey – it helps brighten your skin and gives your skin some extra moisture it needs.
Ingredients:
- 1 Banana
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Directions:
- Add all ingredients in your Dynablend Horse Power Plus and Pulse for 30 seconds.
- Scrape down the sides and Pulse for an additional 30 seconds.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or use immediately.
To use on your skin, apply evenly and allow to dry. Leave on for about 30 minutes and rinse off to remove.
After 30 minutes you will notice softer skin and the mask smells delicious. The best part about it, it actually is delicious! And since you whipped it up in your own kitchen, you can eat it if you want to.
Making this skin mask was extremely easy and a lot of fun to do in the Dynablend Horse Power Plus. Besides the beautiful design, and the sturdy glass carafe, I love the simple colors used. The majority of my kitchen is black or red, and the Dynablend fit in perfectly without any problem. It will easily fit in with most kitchen decors, and will bring versatility to your kitchen with everything you can do with this one appliance.
