Family game night is about to get a little more creative. Asmodee has introduced a game that will have your kids creating stories and making their own adventures while you try to guess what they’re up to!
Dix It Journey is a game where players are dealt cards, while the active player is the story teller. They choose a card from their hand, and give a clue from their story. The other players take a card from their hand that represents what the clue means (or the farthest they can find from it) and gives it to the active player. Once all cards are turned in the active player shuffles them and lays them down. All of the other players try to guess which card was the active players, and are awarded points if they are right!
Not only is the game a lot of fun, and you have unlimited stories and game options, it is beautifully made. All of the cards were designed and illustrated by Xavier Collette and are by themselves beautifully designed. You can see the imagination in each card and each could take you on a different journey.
I love how this game has unlimited possibilities. It is for ages 8 and up (there is a version for younger children as well). But the game can encourage children’s and adult’s imagination. Where do you think your journey will take you?
