Detroit residents are in for a treat next week, Sesame Street Live is giving the city it’s first ever Autism Friendly performance. The show will be the same performance as regular shows, but will have special preparations for parents and caregivers for their children. Gluten-Free food will be available at the concession stand as well.
This performance is done in collaboration with
Autism Speaks. The performance at the Fox Theater will leave extra spaces for seating distances, quiet spaces if needed and cues for caregivers of potential triggers.

Tickets are on sale now and range in price from $9-$35. A portion of the proceeds of select ticket sales ($9-22 range) will be donated to Autism Speaks.
