Peppermint Bath Spa DIY

DIY Bath Salts
We’re getting really close to the holidays! You might be like a lot of people who are running low on time and money. Here is a simple DIY project you can do to make gifts for the ladies (or guys) in your life. Let them pamper themselves, and you can still save your money!

DIY Bath Salts

What you need:

  • 1 medium Glass bowl – make sure it’s one that wont stain
  • 3 small containers with lids (1/2 pint jars work great!)
  • Something to mix with that wont stain (I used an old fork)
  • 1 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 5-6 drops of peppermint oil (extract can work too)
  • 4-5 drops of red food coloring

DIY Bath Salts

Step 1: In the mixing bowl combine your baking soda and Epsom Salt well with the fork.

Step 2: Add in the oil and food coloring. Mix until well combined and everything is a light pink.

Step 3: Spoon into your bath salts into the jar or container.

Always remember you need a container with a lid that you can secure. You can dress it up with ribbons or fabric if you want. I think they look nice just in the jars!

Check your linen closet and you pantry, you will be surprised at just how many of the things you have around your house already!

Want to change it up? Use a different oil or food coloring color :). Don’t have all the ingredients/parts? Check out your local dollar store, many items can be found there!
