Do you ever find yourself laying in bed unable to sleep? Wouldn’t it be nice if there was just something that help lull you to sleep or something that might help calm your kids down so they would fall asleep easier? Cloud B makes several products that will do just that. They sent me one of their newest products to review – the Tranquil Turtle, a friendly soft sleeping aid for kids of all ages.
One of the first things I noticed about the Tranquil Turtle is the friendly smile on the turtle’s face. With sleepy eyes and a smile, he’s ready to help you sleep!
The overall body of the Tranquil Turtle is a soft plush, with a hard clear shell. On the back of the shell are five buttons that do most of the work. There is the power button, the sound selection button (where you can choose between waves or music), the motion button (that starts the wave movement) and a volume up and down.
Each Tranquil Turtle comes with the Tranquil Turtle Storybook. The story book has the story of the tranquil Turtle and on the other side great facts about endangered species, a great way to teach your kids as part of bedtime stories.
Remember how I said Cloud B made the Tranquil Turtle for all ages? It is soft and cuddly enough for a child to snuggle with at night, but it is sturdy enough to stand up on a table or shelve while you sleep.
When you turn on the Tranquil Turtle his shell will light up and illuminate your room. With a touch of the wave button the light begins to dance through the shell, casting beautiful waves throughout your room. If the lights are enough to help you sleep you can just use them, but you have the option of listening to waves or the Tranquil Melody while you try to sleep. Both songs are quiet and relaxing.
I love the way the light dances across the room when my Tranquil Turtle is going. The sound of the ocean waves remind me of trips of vacation and times when I’m completely relaxed. One of my favorite features of the Tranquil Turtle is the fact that it automatically shuts itself off in 23 minutes, so if you fall asleep quickly it will not run the batteries down all night. This is also great for kids using the Tranquil Turtle, so you know when it will go off and you wont have to sneak in to turn it off, risking waking them up!

I like that it makes the wave sounds. My daughter sleeps with a noise machine but this is 2 in 1! noise and light.

My favorite thing about him is his expression. He looks SO relaxed! 🙂 I think I would love the waves feature. My favorite vacation spot is the beach, but its 18 hours away, so I’ve only been twice. I would love to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean – without the drive! 🙂

I love that it lights up my son loves stuffed animals and is always asking to sleep with them and he still sleeps with us and I think is ready to move to his own bed this would help make the transition to his bed.

I love most that you can adjust the volume!! I also love that it has a cover for the controls. That is so important when using it around younger children.
