The technology in our homes are getting more intense and more in tune with what we do on a daily basis. Because they know that we’re constantly tied to our phones and tablets, Comcast has recently launched two new features to their X1 and Triple Play options that their customers are going to love.
Social media is changing how we approach every situation, and most people like to share their life as it happens. Now Comcast offers a fun new feature for their Xfinity triple play members: the Xfinity Share App. Installed on your phone or your tablet, you can sign in your Xfinity account and send images, video or live stream something to one user. In just seconds you can send a video, pictures or share live moments with your friends and family. They’ll never have to miss another baseball game, or family gathering. Not everyone has the Xfinity Triple play, but there is a great new feature for all of their X1 customers. Late last year, Comcast rolled out accessibility features for all of their X1 customers, and now they’re making accessing your shows even easier. Comcast has released their new X1 remote that makes watching TV as easy as “say it and see it”. Much like their accessibility features, this brings finding your favorite shows by just speaking the name of the show or your favorite actor. But unlike the accessibility features, you just have to push the microphone button and speak into the remote. No special equipment is required.
What this means for any X1 customer? You can request the new remote at no additional cost by contacting Comcast. The remote is perfect with people with eye sight problems, or even who may not be able to read yet. Your child can easily request their favorite show by using the speaker button, without you having to search for the show for them. And as an added fun feature, you can say your favorite movie quote and it will pull the movie up if it is anywhere in their movie library.
