Ingredients:
- 2 Bananas
- 6-8 Tbsp Nutella
Directions:
Step 1: Peel and slice your bananas. You only need 2 bananas for each batch, don’t try to process more than 2 at once or it will create a super sticky mess!
Step 2: Place your slices on a plate and put them in the freezer for 1-2 hours. Don’t do more than this – they will be hard to process. If you freeze longer than that you can microwave them for about 20-30 seconds to soften them up just a little bit.
Step 3: Place up to 2 bananas in your food processor. Process until smooth. Yes, your bananas will start to look like ice cream!
Step 4: When your bananas resemble soft serve ice cream, add in your Nutella. Process until well blended.
Step 5: Put your ice cream in the freezer for at least 2 hours until set.
After several hours your ice cream may be hard to scoop, let it sit out for 5-10 minutes and it will be easier to get your yummy food!
Since this ice cream is really mostly bananas, its a great one for kids and to get them to eat their fruits. It does still taste like banana but has a texture of ice cream, and it could be a good treat in the morning or before bed.
You can add in your own flavors once the banana is mixed, fresh strawberries, nutella, nuts and more. Make your own healthy ice cream!
