Boyne Mountain Lodge and Spa Review

We’re deep into the holiday spirit, and it’s that time of year that people want to experience a winter wonderland. Last weekend, before snow found the rest of the state, we were invited to visit Boyne Mountain Lodge and Spa for their holiday open house and to check out the lodge. Despite living in Michigan my whole life, I had never been up to Boyne Mountain, and really wasn’t sure about everything they had on the property.

Boyne Mountain Lodge and Spa ReviewThe holiday open house offered guests a chance to lunch with Santa Claus, horse drawn carriage rides, zip lining (in the snow), fire side s’mores, face painting and balloon animals for kids. Many of these are offered throughout the month of December for guests to help get you in the holiday spirit. Of course, Santa was a limited appearance since he is in his busy time of year – but through the end of the months you can still get fire side s’mores, horse drawn carriage rides and even the zip lining.

Boyne Mountain Lodge and Spa ReviewThe instant you get out of your car at Boyne Mountain you’re surrounded by a winter wonderland, and being in northern Michigan you will see even more snow the later in the season it gets. The decor at the lodge will help put you in the holiday spirit and the fireplaces throughout the property will help warm you up between skiing or snow boarding. Our visit to Boyne Mountain was magical, and put us in the spirit for the holiday season.

Even if you’re not huge into winter sports, Boyne Mountain Lodge and Spa offers shopping, dining, a full water park for kids and a full spa with spectacular views. We can’t wait to share more about our trip soon. Find out more about the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa and their offerings, and head up north for a taste of winter and the holiday spirit.
