There’s something about a candy bar at a party and get together that I’ve always loved. It brings out the inner kid in us all, with goodie bags we can fill with our favorite candy and take some to go. It’s a simple thing, but there something so pure and fun about it. That’s why this year we are throwing our holiday parties fully stocked with a Winter Candy Bar thanks to Oriental Trading.
I don’t think there is a wrong way to make your own candy buffet or bar, but for me I like going with a color theme. Since snow is always part of our winter, and can be so beautiful I wanted to throw a Winter Candy Bar this year with our holidays. I used a snowflake table runner as wall decoration and even got some great hurricane jars to house all of the bulk candy we decided on.
Candy options are amazing when you start looking at making your own candy buffet – go by color, shape or even just your favorite flavors. Our White themed Candy Buffet would normally be hard to do with such an “odd” color for candy, but Oriental Trading made that easy to do. With White Jelly beans, White Candy Canes, White (foil wrapped) chocolate balls filled with caramel, White Suckers and White Rock Candy. There were so many other options as well, but we figured we would have enough candy for a week with that order alone!
Oriental Trading had everything we needed for our own candy buffet including the jars, to go bags, scoops and an amazing variety of candy we could choose from. Our guests loved digging in and we can’t wait to do another candy buffet for the new year!
