libre tea glass review

libre tea glass reviewOver the past couple of years I’ve found myself drinking more tea instead of coffee or other caffeinated beverages. And thanks to Libre Tea I’ve been able to take my hot tea on the go safely on the road. Their Libre Tea individual glasses are BPA help keep your tea warm, your hands comfortable so you can enjoy your loose leaf tea on the go.

Libre Tea sent me on of their Black Brush Tea Glasses to enjoy my daily tea in and to take with me. The Black Brush Glass and Poly tea glass is one of the newer designs with a plant motif between the two layers of the glass. The design is under stated but still very pretty.

libre tea glass reviewThe construction of the Libre Tea glass, and the main reason the glass works, are probably some of my favorite things about it. The inner layer of the Libre Tea glass is actually glass – so no flavor transfer from glass to glass. The outer poly layer helps insulate the glass but also keeps your hands away from the hot glass and drink. The strainer mouthpiece keeps your tea inside the glass while you enjoy it, and also allows for longer steeping times.

libre tea glass reviewI’ve been drinking so much tea lately, I’m actually out of loose leaf tea. That of course doesn’t mean I can’t use my Libre Tea glass, I actually empty one of my reusable single serving tea pods in the glass and used my brewer to get the hot water. This still allowed the tea to steep longer, and for me to get a hot glass of tea for the road. The filter still kept the tea pieces out, even though the pieces were smaller.

libre tea glass reviewEvery Libre Tea glass comes with an extra seal, which helps keep the heat inside your glass when you have it closed. And your glass should always be hand washed so you can enjoy it for years to come. The Black Brush Libre Tea glass is also 14 oz, and fits under a standard single cup brewer with no problem. This is great when you load your tea inside and let the machine heat the water for you. No need to heat up the kettle for your tea, just let the brewer do the hard work and take your tea on the go!

  1. I would love the 14 oz. Travel Tea Glass Infuser because I love to travel but hate a small tea. It looks like the perfect size for me. Glass is the perfect vessel for the tea.

  2. Of the travel cups I like the large black brush and the original and travel tumblers the most. Tea? my favorites are snow geishawhich is a cherry flavored white tea, grape oolong and silver yin zhen pearls, ooh and jasmine dragon pearls. I guess I have too many favorites.
