What really annoys you? We all have Pet Peeves right? They’re different for each and every one of us – but we all have them!
Day 10 of the Blogger Challenge is to list out our top 10 Pet Peeves.. as if making another another list wasn’t a close choice! So what bugs you?
- Dishonest People – this should be on everyone’s list. I don’t see a reason for it, or why people have to lie. Be honest, there is no reason not to be!
- Debbie Downers – Be happy with what you have If you’re not happy – don’t bring down the world around you. Others have reasons to be happy and celebrate, let them!
- Dead Socks – I even wrote a whole blog post about them. Is that hamper really so far away?
- Rumor Mills and Gossip – Ask me if you want to know. Otherwise, stay out of my business. We’re not 12 anymore, and even at 12 it’s not flattering on anyone.
- Unsolicited Advice – I’m sure things have worked well for you, but it doesn’t mean it will work well for everyone. Please don’t try to choose my meal for me – it wont go well!
- Children who are undisciplined – Now don’t take this wrong, a crying baby is one thing – it happens. Kids get upset, they throw tantrums etc. But ones who scream at their parents, curse or worse disrupt a whole restaurant and no one says anything – that drives me up the wall! I like kids – I just don’t like parents who don’t .. well parent. Now this isn’t directed at all kids or parents – just those ones we see out there screaming and running around and terrorizing the world.
- People who assume that since I’m gluten free, I’m on the Atkins diet. These are two completely different things. Please note – Bread is not a key ingredient in potatoes 😉
- Being Taken Advantage of – I find a lot of people expect me to do things for them, give them things, do projects for them for free – because I know how. I’m sorry – that’s not how it works. I’ve been burned on this too many time in the last few years. I’ve been down this road and I may be a bit jaded about it now, but I’ve learned. I will help people who need it, but don’t expect it.
- People who don’t say Thank You – I know we now live in a society where everyone gets what they want. But I was raised saying please and thank you. If I hold a door for you, you aren’t expected to, but it is polite to say Thank You. While I find more and more it’s the older generations who don’t do it – I am pleasantly surprised when small children do.
- Over-sharing – Now again, this might be something that is a product of our times. But Facebook and Twitter make this oh so easy. But please be careful of what you post out there. Personal opinions, religion, relationship “info” etc. This goes for pictures too, watch what you post. I’m sure that picture of your son is cute – but please be aware all of his little boy parts are out there for the world to see. EEK!
I know that some of these are harsh – or maybe they just seem that way to me. But they are what bug me.
How about you? What are your pet peeves?

I agree with all of these
These are all so true and I have s many more. My hubby and sister says its ocd and adult add no i just have an opinion and its things that really irritate me. So you go right on. And the parents not disiplining there kids is a big one. I have 3 and they are on a very short leash. and they would get in trouble for doing and saying some of the things these kids say today. Now me I would have no teeth left and my butt would be alot smaller in my day if we acted like that there was whoopins and quess what I turned out okay. Spare the rod spoil the child. Use the rod people fiqure of speech.
