Family traditions are some of the most important things. Every family has a different way of celebrating the holidays, and our family is no different. We never do anything that would be considered “normal” and for our holiday parties, we love to have themes. While this may seem odd to some families, for our it means great photos over the past several years and great memories we talk about for years to come.
This year, we kicked off the holiday season with the traditional turkey dinner with a large group of relatives and surprised everyone with a holiday Fiesta – even with our own pinata. Oriental Trading Company sent us a box of supplies for the party including a pinata, the filling, banners and even maracas for musical accompaniment.
From a mariachi rubber ducky band, some great decorations and a few spicy sides we were setting the table for a fun meal to remember. The Duckies were the biggest hit since they reminded several of us of our visit to Cozumel and Goonie’s brief career in his own mariachi band!
