3 Tips for Creating a Disney Date Right in Your Home

Currently, it’s still very difficult for families to go out and visit the Magical Kingdom or even see Disney on Ice, let alone travel anywhere else. But thanks to streaming services such as Disney+ and tour guide YouTube channels, everyone can still get a small taste of Disney until things can go back to normal. So until then, why not sprinkle a little bit of magic into your evenings? Whether it’s with friends, family, or even your partner, you may be surprised about all of the fun Disney-filled activities that you can achieve at home.

All it takes is a bit of imagination, determination, and tons of creativity. But you know what’s more important than that? Have fun of course! So here are some fabulous tips for having a fun Disney Date right in your home.

Pick out your favorite movies

One of the beauties of Disney movies would be the fact that they’re so feel-good. You know for a fact that you’re going to end up in a great mood after watching one. There are so many Disney movies such as Encanto which brings a new kind of magic to Disney, Toy Story, Princess, and the Frog, and there are even movies that you may have not realized were even loveable Disney films. Since you’re basically limitless on options, you may even get a little overwhelmed on what to choose. But there isn’t anything wrong with having a full marathon of Disney movies, the more the merrier, right?

Eat the same dishes from your favorite movies

Let’s face it. There is a lot of food shown in Disney movies and a lot of it looks so delicious too. When you think of food from Disney, what immediately comes to mind? Is it eggs and bacon from Mulan? What about that big feast from Beauty and the Beast? Spaghetti and meatballs from Lady and the Tramp? Apples from Snow White? Or maybe you’d like to look into a ratatouille recipe just like from the movie Ratatouille? One popular trend that many are trying out would include creating their favorite snacks from the magical kingdom such as churros or Dole Whip.

Do some fun activities

After your meals and Disney-movie marathon, now comes time for fun-filled activities. Sure, binge-watching movies can be great, but there is something so enchanting about getting to try out some of the activities done in the movies. Some ideas could include

  • Ballroom Dance just like in Cinderella
  • Paint and do candle making like Rapunzel
  • Cook up a feast just like in Beauty and the Beast
  • Binge-read just like Belle
  • Train like Mulan
  • Clean up the house just like Snow White
  • Research real Disney locations to visit (like the Cinque Terre in Luca)
  • Create an Adventure Book just like in Up

But you could also just go to sleep just like Aurora in Sleeping Beauty if you’re too full from the meal you had earlier. The beauty of Disney is the fact that you can be enchanted even when you’re right at home.
