Easy Peppermint Bar Fudge Recipe

One of my favorite holiday treats is peppermint bark, it’s one that I’m willing to pay a bit extra for at the store. But coming from Michigan I have also have a soft spot for fudge, it brings back memories for summer trips to Mackinaw Island and visiting other tourist locations. It’s a sweet treat that is a bit of an indulgence and one that a lot of people enjoy just at the holiday season.

Easy Fudge RecipeThis year, Eagle Brand sent us a holiday care package with two cans of their Sweetened Condensed Milk, a baking/candy mold and holiday treat boxes and decorations. Their only request was we made a recipe to share with our readers. Normally, my go-to recipe to use Sweetened Condensed Milk in is Key Lime Pie, but with the high prices of limes this time of year, I leaned towards those holiday flavors I love and combined the Peppermint Bark I love as well as an easy fudge recipe – which will save me a lot of miles of driving up north since this is so good and easy, it may be better than what I usually buy up north and perfect for sending care packages!

This Peppermint Bark Fudge recipe is completely gluten free, it is quick to put together and so easy to do. The hardest part is waiting for it to cool and set up in the fridge for a few hours. It’s the perfect recipe to make and give as gifts, or to share with family and friends at parties. It will make about 2 lbs of fudge in total, and if you use a large mold like I did, each snowflake is about 1/3 lb of fudge. Definitely several servings in each one!

The great thing about this recipe is you can make any flavor fudge you want with the right chips, your favorite extract or even throw in your favorite cookies or candies. It’s so simple and easy to modify as you go!
