It’s that time of year, the kids are heading back to school to learn new topics and skills. School can be a lot of fun, but the amount of work they have kids do in class – it can become overwhelming and not something they want to do at home. We’ve always believed that education should be reinforced in the home, but finding a way to make learning fun isn’t always that easy to do.
This year, School Zone sent us some tools to help Goonie stay on track and have fun while he’s learning. School Zone is based out of Grand Rapid, and we love the local Michigan connection. Their new releases this year include new set of workbooks and flash card sets, including: Little Thinkers; Spelling Puzzles; Beginning Reading; Time, Money & Fractions; and Addition 0-12. The books are gauged by age and include activities inside for different grade levels.
While the work books wont be an every night occurrence due to homework levels and other activities, we like keeping them on hand to help Goonie stay engaged and learning. Work through basic fractions and problems and help learn new words with the fun workbooks, games and flash cards. You can find them for only $2.99 each at Toys R Us or on School Zone’s website. Snag a few to keep on hand to keep the kids busy in the car or at events – and watch them learn as they play!
