This time of year, you can’t go very far without finding pumpkin flavored treats, coffees and more. But the popularity of the pumpkin flavor tends to come with a pretty hefty price tag. I love pumpkin coffees, but I’m not a huge fan of the coffee house lattes that are made with synthetic flavors that ends up kind of tasting like pumpkin.
We don’t have to go very far this year for our pumpkin coffee fix since Brooklyn Bean Roastery sent us a package of their Pink Pumpkin kcups. Like their other kcups and flavor is rich, and they use their own filter system in each kcup so you get a clean and delicious cup of coffee each time. And as an added bonus, a portion of the proceeds from our Pink Pumpkin brew goes towards breast cancer awareness – but the flavor is good year round.
Pumpkin and the spices you use to make your fall pies and breads are some of my favorite flavors and smells. When I made my Pink Pumpkin coffee the smell of the fall season filled the kitchen. The coffee has a bit of pumpkin, a bit of cinnamon and spices and even a hint of vanilla flavors in it, which reminds me having a bit of having a dollop of whipped topping on your pumpkin pie. Overall the flavor had won me over before I even had a sip. But don’t worry, the flavor of the Pink Pumpkin coffee wont disappoint you. The coffee had the pumpkin and spice I was looking for without adding any extra flavors or creamers. With just a touch of milk the smooth coffee flavor helped transport me into a fall mood, and keep me warm even on these cold mornings.
