An American Werewolf in London
One of the greatest horror films of all time is headed to COMET! Check out John Landis’ often imitated but never duplicated 1981 classic, An American Werewolf in London, and discover why it’s always a good idea to “stay off the moors.” The film airs on COMET on August 18 at 8P/7C, and again the following night at the same time.

Friday, August 18 at 8P/7C
Saturday, August 19 at 8P/7C
and Sunday, August 27 at 4P/3C

Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Most of the time, we’re not big fans of remakes. But once in a while, a remake comes along that vastly outshines its inspiration. Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the 1978 reboot of the 1956 sci-fi thriller, is one of those remakes. Not only that, it’s maybe the best remake ever made, and with stars like Donald Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum, and Leonard Nimoy, it’s not hard to see why. The invasion begins on August 25 at 8P/7C, with an encore airing at 8P/7C on August 26.

Friday, August 25 at 8P/7C
Saturday, August 26 at 8P/7C
and Wednesday, August 29 at 5:30P/4:30C

  1. WE won’t get the full eclipse in my area, but I still plan to see it. I don’t have anything planned, I will just go outside once it starts, and stare directly at it!!!!

  2. I’m in the path of totality so I hope to watch the totality at home before work, but depending on the “invaders” who come to see it, I will watch it from work.

  3. I think I’m going to have to leave an hour or more early to go back to work. I heard yesterday triage’s are going to be set up every so often on the interstate from people supposedly just going to stop and watch the eclipse. They are expecting lots of wrecks due to it. I hope it’s not true. We are in the direct path again in 5 years.

  4. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hear Charlie Brown. Our area has been invaded so far from one city report of 3 territories, 46 states and not sure how many countries people have came from to see the total eclipse. I understand this is cool but dang it last less than 2 minutes. Cell phones towers are already over jammed. I just hope I can get to and from work for those of us whose lives have to go on.

  5. My favorite sci-fi show is MST3K, which is on Comet! As far as the eclipse goes, we live right in the path of totality, so we’ll be standing in the yard watching the world get dark. Hoping for clear skies on Monday!

  6. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to actually see the solar eclipse itself. All I was able to catch was the dim sunlight created by the solar eclipse.
