colourworks basting brush review

Probably one of the most underrated tools in my kitchen in the basting brush. I use them in the summer occasionally when I’m grilling, but love to use them when I’m roasting a chicken or a turkey. The problem I’ve always had with the bristles getting dirty and hard to clean, and the temperatures I’m cooking at. It wasn’t until I was introduced to Farberware’s Colourworks silicone basting brushes did they become a larger part of my cooking routine.

colourworks basting brush reviewThis year, Farberware sent me some of their silicone basting brushes to test out. The Colourworks silicone basting brushes are not only heat safe up to 475 degrees, but they are completely dishwasher safe. Now you can add your favorite marinade to your meats, or brush a little butter on your pastries or even spread some of the juices form your bird on it’s skin while it’s roasting, without worrying about the hairs in the brush not handling the heat. The silicone bristles help easily apply what you want, and wash clean not holding in any bacteria.

Colourworks offers not only fun colors so you can make sure your kitchen has the pops of color you want, but each is made with a shaped handle that fits perfectly in your hand. For quick basting jobs, brushing on butter on that pie crust or glazing the perfect roast, Colourworks silicone basting brushes are perfect for the job.
